Man dies in car crash on Manchester Road in Castleton

Manchester Road in Castleton
A man has been killed in a crash involving two cars on Manchester Road in Castleton just after 01:30am on Sunday.
21-year-old Kavana Taylor died when the BMW he was driving collided with a Volkswagen Polo.
A 25-year-old man, who was a passenger in the BMW, received minor injuries and is assisting police inquiries.
The driver of the blue Polo suffered minor injuries.
Manchester Road was closed following the incident.
A police spokesman said: “We have launched an investigation into this collision and we are hoping that the public may be able to help us.
“We would like to hear from anyone who may have any dash-cam footage, or may have seen the collision.
“We are also keen to speak to anyone who saw a blue BMW 1 series in the area of the collision or in Rochdale town centre in the early hours of Sunday.”
