Exporting the best of care
Date published: 08 July 2008
Rochdale has a new export - home improvement know how.
Care professionals from Malta will take a whistle-stop tour of the town this week to find out how best to provide home adaptations and improvements to elderly and disabled people.
Anthony Camilleri and Adrian Vella from the Maltese Care and Repair Housing Authority will be visiting Rochdale Council’s Home Improvement Agency to pick up some tips to take back to Malta.
The Council’s cabinet member for housing Councillor Doreen Brophy-Lee said: “The borough’s Housing Improvement Agency is recognised nationally for its excellence. When the Maltese Housing Authority approached us to help train their staff so they could improve the quality of their service we were only too happy to share the secrets of our success.”
