Middleton men charged after police crackdown

Three men from Middleton were arrested on Thursday (3 July) have been charged following a police crackdown on robbery and burglary.
All three have been charged with conspiracy to rob and will appear before Manchester City Magistrates' Court next Tuesday (15 July).
22 year-old Paul Shaw of Tintern Road, 18-year old Simon Carr of York Road East and Christopher Carroll, also 18, of Yewdale Drive, were all charged.
The charges relate to Operation Recessed, a crackdown on a number of robbery incidents from March 2008. Five other men from Greater Manchester were also arrested on Thursday.
