92-year old breaks hip in crash

A 92-year-old woman broke her hip when she was hit by a car in Heywood last night (Monday 7 July).
At about 10.45pm the woman was crossing Bamford Road when a blue Vauxhall Zafira smashed into her.
Police and the Ambulance Service attended and the woman was taken to Fairfield Hospital with a broken hip. Her injuries are not life threatening.
Nobody else was injured in the collision.
