Councillor Danny Meredith 'arrested' during the Western-themed Community Event and Christmas Lights switch on
People braved the rain as the Balderstone and Kirkholt Christmas lights switch on took place on Monday (20 November).
Rev Angela Bryan, St Thomas' Vicarage said: “The Western-themed community event for Balderstone and Kirkholt was enjoyed by 200 people for the third year running.
“People braved the rain to gather on the Strand to see the tree light lit, and then walked up to St Thomas' Church for food, fun, and entertainment.
“After the event, warrants have been issued for the arrest of several ‘Wanted’ people, including Councillor Danny Meredith and RAFC mascot Desmond.”
