Suspected murder - Royds Street

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found dead.
The body of a 40-year old man was found in Royds Street following reports of an attack in the area.
Shortly before 9pm last night (Thursday 3 July), police attended the scene following reports from the Ambulance Service that a body had been found.
The death is being treated as suspicious but the exact cause is currently unknown. A post mortem will be conducted later today.
Two men from Rochdale, aged 26 and 36, have been arrested on suspicion of murder. They are currently being questioned by police.
Police are appealing for witnesses and if anyone was on Royds Street at the time of the incident or has any information they are asked to contact Rochdale CID on 0161 856 4644.
