Hospital radio presenters non-stop 24-hour broadcast

Ryan Kells and Pastor David Grimshaw, both volunteers from Roch Valley Radio locked themselves in the basement studios and hosted a non-stop 24-hour broadcast on the bank holiday weekend, 26-27 August, to raise funds and awareness of the hospital radio station.
The Mayor and Mayoress opened the 24-hour broadcast which ran from noon on the Saturday until noon on Sunday.
The station previously had a 48-hour broadcast in April. However, this was the first time presenters stayed active in the studio during the whole show.
Roch Valley Radio is the hospital and community radio station covering Rochdale, Heywood and Bury.
