Nieve Pegg, from Rochdale, has raised over £1,000 for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund after visiting 58 football stadiums across the UK.
Nieve’s original goal was to raise £100 by visiting the 58 stadiums in as many hours, however she beat this target, finishing four hours ahead of her goal, and raising a staggering £1,045.
College student Nieve, 16, enlisted the help of her grandad who drove her after they planned the quickest routes.
The challenge started at Swansea’s ground at 7am on 31 July before ultimately concluding - fittingly at Manchester's stadiums - at 1pm on Wednesday 2 August.
The Bolton Wanderers fan said: “It was a good way of finishing at the two Manchester clubs, it seemed appropriate considering what the fundraiser was for.
“I’m chuffed to have raised so much. I only expected to raise my original target. It’s overwhelming that through good people’s support I am able to really help the victims of Manchester.”
Day one saw Nieve and her grandad visit Swansea, Cardiff, Newport, Bristol City, Bristol Rovers, Swindon Town, Reading, Wycombe Wanderers, Brentford, Queen’s Park Rangers, Fulham, Chelsea, Wimbledon, Crystal Palace, Millwall, Charlton, West Ham United, Arsenal, Wembley, Barnet and Watford.
On the second day, they visited 25 clubs: Luton, MK Dons, Northampton, Coventry, Birmingham, Aston Villa, West Bromwich Albion, Walsall, Wolves, Stoke, Port Vale, Crewe, Liverpool, Everton, Wigan, Bolton, Preston, Fleetwood, Blackburn, Burnley, Accrington, Bury, Rochdale, and finally, Oldham.
The last leg took the duo to, Huddersfield, Bradford, Leeds, Hull, Scunthorpe, Doncaster, Rotherham, Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday, and Barnsley before completing the journey at the Etihad and Old Trafford.
