Family fun day donation appeal to raise funds for Cally Rush

Date published: 06 July 2017

A family fun day is being organised at Milnrow Cricket Club on 30 July to raise funds for Cally Rush, the young girl who was injured after falling from an escalator in the Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre in May.

Emma Harrison, who is organising the event with her sister Michelle Ray, hopes to raise enough for Cally and her family to go on holiday after the 11-year-old has recovered.

She said: “I currently have a bouncy castle, slush machine, candy floss machine, a minion character and a few raffle prizes too. All help will be gratefully received.

"After her serious fall, Cally has a long road to recovery and I am hoping we can raise enough to send her and her family away after it all.”
