Congratulations go to Daneyal Baywa, who was awarded a Silver Medal and Jude Clarke a Bronze Medal certificate in the Junior Mathematical Challenge.

Senior Sports Day took place on the hottest day June since 1976. This produced possibly the largest crowd ever at the event. It did not prevent the races being highly competitive.

The chilled drinks and Ice Pops provided by The Friends of Beech House were a great welcome.

The event produced a clear winner and the trophy was collected by Saturn's House Captain Maya Servio. The final scores were:

1st Saturn – 152; 2nd Jupiter – 107; 3rd Mercury – 78; 4th Neptune - 73

The important staff race was won by Miss Turner, with Miss Carlile and Miss Glasgow close behind.

The weather was a lot cooler for the Prep event, but was watched by a similar size crowd.

One again, this year, there was a clear winner. The result was a complete reversal of the Senior event.

This time the trophy was collected by Amy Hanson on behalf of Neptune.

The final scores were: 1st Neptune – 188; 2nd Mercury -110; 3rd Jupiter – 93; 4th Saturn - 92

The mums race was won by Miss Carlile with Mrs Wild and Mrs Crea close behind.

Mr Ogden won the Dad's race. Mr Ali and Mr Hurst- Grover finished in second and third respectively.

The event was then followed by the Friends of Beech House Summer Fair. The main attraction of the event was Mr Bateman in the stocks. Many pupils, and staff, took full advantage of throwing ice cold wet sponges at him.
