Hedge at Wince Brook tidied

Date published: 05 July 2017

Electricity North West tidied a hedge row at Wince Brook Nature Reserve on Friday.

The work follows a project last year where Electricity North West cut back trees at Wince Brook from the overhead power lines.

A spokesperson for Electricity North West said: “We were on site on Friday afternoon to tidy a hedge row at Wince Brook Nature Reserve in Middleton.

“This work follows a key project we did last year which involved cutting back trees away from our overhead power lines to help ensure local customers continue to receive a reliable power supply to their homes and businesses.

“We’re proud of working closely with the community, including Rochdale Borough Council and the Friends of Wince Brook and we were delighted to be able to plant new trees, including apple trees for the orchard and new ponds for visitors to enjoy.”
