Harry Mills discusses homeless veterans with Andy Burnham

Members of the North West Branch of Aden Veterans Association met with Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham to discuss dealing with homeless Veterans and homelessness.

Harry Mills, Heywood Chairman of Lancashire Veterans Association and President of Aden Veterans Association North West Branch, said: “We had an interesting and wide ranging discussion about the rise in homelessness amongst veterans and the general population.

“We also held a brief, but moving, Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph Gardens in Manchester to commemorate the 22 British troops killed in Aden on 20 June 1967 and the withdrawal of troops from Aden in the November of that year.”
