Rochdale AFC on side for Feel Good Festival

Date published: 03 July 2017

Rochdale Football Club has signed up to be one of the Rochdale Feel Good Festival main sponsors.

As part of the agreement the Dale will be an official festival partner, marketing the event to fans during pre-season and at the Crown Oil Arena during their opening game in August.

The League One club will take part in the festival itself with manager Keith Hill holding a mini training session for Junior Dale fans to take part in on the Friday.

Keith Hill said: “Myself, Chris Beech and a few of the players will be attending on the Friday afternoon and holding a mini training session for the kids to take part in. Rochdale Feel Good Festival is a great event. We’re looking forward to it and happy to be involved once again.”

There will be a festival club shop selling the new training wear and replica shirts on both days, plus guest appearances by their mischievous mascot Desmond the Dragon.

Frances Fielding, Rochdale Football Club sales and marketing manager, said: “We always get an amazing response at Rochdale Feel Good Festival. It’s the biggest event in the borough and it’s an event that a lot of our fans look forward to.”

Councillor Janet Emsley, cabinet member for neighbourhoods, community and culture, said: "Working with partners like Rochdale AFC and connecting with their thousands of supporters helps the council to deliver this wonderful event and tell more people about it, so we’re looking forward to working with Rochdale AFC again. The event continues to grow in popularity and as we prepare to celebrate our tenth birthday we’re planning to make it the best one yet.”

Rochdale Feel Good Festival returns on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 August, for another showcase of entertainment, food and culture.
