Date published: 03 July 2017

A group of four amateur golfers from Sheffield based Cure Roofing emerged victorious at the annual NSPCC golf day held at the picturesque Whittaker Golf Club on Blackstone Edge on 16 June.

The teams enjoyed a competitive day’s golf raising £2,300 for the charity in the process, taking the amount raised to over £20,000 since the event first teed off in 2009.

Daniel Leach said: “After a hard fought 18 holes the teams retreated to the 19th for the all-important results, presentations as well as refreshments and a raffle.

“This year’s competition attracted entrants from across the borough and beyond and was sponsored by Kerf Developments."

A spokesperson for Littleborough NSPCC said: "The Littleborough branch of the NSPCC would like to thank all of those who helped make the day such a success and looks forward to rivalries being renewed across the greens and fairways next year."
