Two men stabbed on Ashfield Road

Two men, aged 26 and 31, were stabbed on Ashfield Road, Rochdale on Tuesday (13 June).

A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service confirmed both men were taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary where they required treatment. The 26-year-old man has since been discharged.

A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of two counts of assault and remains in police custody for questioning.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting reference number 84 of 13/06/17 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
