Lorry blocks traffic on Manchester Road

Traffic flowing towards Rochdale was affected by a collision between a lorry and a car outside The Old Post Office Ale House near the junction with Queensway on Manchester Road on Tuesday (13 June).

No one has been injured or is trapped in the vehicles, which blocked the road through Castleton for a short period of time.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “We were called shortly after 4.45pm to reports of a collision outside The Old Post Office Ale House in Castleton. Traffic towards Rochdale is blocked.

“A member of the public is currently managing the traffic flow.”
