Casualty cut from car involved in collision

A casualty had to be cut from a vehicle that was involved in a collision on Edenfield Road, Rochdale on Friday (9 June) morning.
The collision involved two vehicles, a silver Toyota and a blue Micra, and firefighters had to use specialist cutting gear to rescue one casualty, who was taken to hospital by ambulance crews. Two other casualties were treated by ambulance crews.
A spokesperson for GMFRS said: "At 8.04am on Friday 9 June, two crews from Ramsbottom and Rawtenstall and the technical rescue unit and major rescue unit from Ashton were called to a road traffic collision.
"Crews used specialist cutting gear to rescue one casualty."
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "We were called at 7.44am to reports of a two vehicle collision involving a silver Toyota and a blue Micra."
