Man's body found near Rakewood Viaduct

A man’s body was found near the Rakewood Viaduct (M62) on Wednesday 7 June.

Police were called at 5.40pm to reports that the body of a man had been found beneath the viaduct near the motorway.

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue were called by Greater Manchester Police.

A technical response unit attended and crews were for present for one and a half hours.

Enquiries into the man’s death are ongoing but it is not believed that there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
