Rob McLean winner of 'Your Rochdale Dream Team' fantasy football league

Rob McLean was presented with an engraved cup and a £500 J D Alexander voucher by John Alexander as winner of the annual 'Your Rochdale Dream Team' fantasy football league on Saturday (3 June).

Sponsored by John Alexander, prizes totalling £1,000 were up for grabs.

Rob McLean, who also won last year, topped the league with 2,088 points.

Second place, and winner of a £300 voucher, went to Darren ‘Daz’ Smith, who scored 2,018 points.

In third place, and winner of a £200 voucher, was Andrew Hill with 1,987 points.

All donated their winnings to charity: Rob donated his to Moorland Children’s Home, Andrew donated his to the Save Samantha appeal and Daz is understood to have donated his to Christie’s Hospital.

The Your Rochdale Dream Team has been organised for the past two years by Dan Hamer. This season saw the biggest entry for the online group, with 36 teams taking part in the fantasy football league.
