Date published: 05 June 2017

Donations from over 450,000 people during Sunday’s One Love Manchester concert raised an additional £2.7m for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund, bringing the latest total to £10.2m.

Viewers and audience members contributed a massive £2.1m through SMS donations, texting ‘Love’ to 70507 to give £5. Online donations contributed an additional £600,000.

The concert, headlined by Ariana Grande and stars including Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Pharrell also included a surprise performance by Liam Gallagher.

Proceeds from the ticket sales will also go to the appeal. The concert was shown in 50 countries around the world, and streamed online.

The funds raised for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund, launched by Manchester City Council and British Red Cross and supported by Manchester Evening News, will help people who have been injured or bereaved as a result of the attack at the Manchester Arena.

To donate to the Fund, please go to www.redcross.org.uk/love or text Love to 70507 to give £5.
