Kitchen fire on Rathbone Street

A pan of cooking left unattended was the cause of a kitchen fire at a house Rathbone Street, Rochdale in the early hours of Monday (5 June) morning.

Firefighters Rochdale and Heywood wore breathing apparatus and used a hose reel to extinguish the fire. High pressure fans were used to clear smoke and firefighters removed the cooker from the property as a precaution.
