Oliver Patterson and Marley Fenton have raised £400 for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund after writing and performing a song about the tragic Manchester Arena attack.

Oliver, 14, from Middleton, and 15-year-old Marley, from Levenshulme, were camping for the second May Bank Holiday weekend at a Volkswagen show in Warrington, Carry On Dubbin.

Oliver had taken his guitar and the boys wrote the first verse on the Friday night, with the second verse following on the Saturday morning.

They performed the song around the campfire and were encouraged to ask the organisers if they could play it during the next day as part of the day time entertainment.

The organisers agreed and were so impressed they asked them to perform again during the night time entertainment before the main act.

Oliver and Marley agreed and donated the fee they were paid for performing towards the fund.

After sending around donation buckets, they raised £400.
