House fire in Middleton

A fire involved the wooden doorstep of a house on Marques Way, Middleton, on Wednesday (10 May).
The fire was tackled byfirefighters useing breathing apparatus, a hose reel and a positive pressure fan to clear smoke from the house.
Two fire engines from Blackley attended.
