Kingsway Park High School students meet with local employers

Date published: 05 May 2017

Kingsway Park High School, Reach for the Future Graduates, met with five local employers recently.

The employers were keen to come into Kingsway Park High School to work with students on a range of tasks and activities centred on employment.

Based on a careers carousel, all students met with each of the employers.

Students looked at a range of tasks including identifying their own skills, overcoming geographical obstacles as part of an engineering task and working out finances with Kerry Pender, a Chartered Accountant.

Many thanks to the following companies involved for taking time out to spend with our students.

Gareth Baron – CNT Ltd, Peter Whyley - Freelance Ground Engineering Consultant, Kerry Pender – GMCC, Theo Kaciubskyj -SME Mentor, Brad Daniel - Greater Manchester Construction Training.

The positive feedback from students emphasised how successful the day had been, with one year 8 student stating ‘it was really good fun and I learnt a lot’.
