Danielle Sheerin raises over £1,000 in memory of Joshua McCormack after 11,000ft skydive

Date published: 04 May 2017

Danielle Sheerin has beaten her £500 target and raised more than £1,000 in Joshua McCormack’s memory after completing an 11,000ft skydive on Saturday (29 April).

Five-year-old Josh, from Whitworth, lost his long battle with a cancerous brain tumour in January this year.

Family friend Danielle decided to take on the skydive to raise money for Derian House, the hospice that cared for Josh and his family.

At the time of publication, she has raised £1,075, more than double her original target.

Danielle said: “I was extremely nervous, but I really enjoyed it. It was an amazing experience. I actually cried when I landed, out of shock that I had not only done it but because I did it for Joshua's memory and Derian House.”
