A person has been taken to hospital after being treated for smoke inhalation following a flat fire on Walk Mill Close at 9.20pm on Tuesday (2 May).

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish the fire in the bedroom. They then used a large fan to clear the smoke.
