Casualty taken to hospital after flat fire on Walk Mill Close

A person has been taken to hospital after being treated for smoke inhalation following a flat fire on Walk Mill Close at 9.20pm on Tuesday (2 May).
Two fire engines from Rochdale and one from Littleborough attended and were on the scene for one hour and 20 minutes.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish the fire in the bedroom. They then used a large fan to clear the smoke.
