A casualty was taken to Fairfield General Hospital after a kitchen fire at a property on Maldon Street in Rochdale on Saturday (April 29) morning.
On arrival, crews from Rochdale and Chadderton found a fire that had originated in the kitchen of the property due to cooking food being left unattended.
Crews used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel to extinguish the fire. The fire service trauma technician treated a casualty for smoke inhalation, before they were transferred to Fairfield General Hospital by the ambulance service.
