After seeing our article, she contacted the News Team, who put her in contact with Australian Adrian Tanner, who found the phone on An Bang beach in the Hoi An area on Monday. Luckily, Chernice was still staying in the district and was able to meet with Adrian to get her phone back.

Chernice said: “Thank you Rochdale Online for writing the article; I appreciate it so much. I met with Adrian to get my phone back this morning. He’s a lovely man and it’s nice to know there are still nice genuine people out there in the world.”

Adrian said: “Chernice was very thankful to get her phone back and paid for our cooking lesson in The Secret Garden, Hoi An, where she came to pick it up. It was a very nice gesture and totally unexpected.”
