A fifteen-year-old girl has been arrested for a public order offence after police received ‘a number of calls’ regarding a group of youths ‘causing issues’ in the Castleton, Sandbrook Park and Town Centre areas on Monday (24 April).
Police confirmed no further incidents were reported after they caught up with the youths, believed to be aged between twelve and sixteen, at Sandbrook Park and sent them on their way.
Officers warned: “We have officers on patrol who will be dealing with any youths who have been involved in the incidents.
“Parents, if your children are out this evening please make sure you know where they are and who they are with.
“If you are a young person who is out this evening, please do not take part in any antisocial activities however exciting it may seem at the time.
“What you may think is fun may land you with a criminal record.”
Enquiries are ongoing in relation to any other offences which may have been committed by the group.
Officers are patrolling the areas where antisocial behaviour are being reported and would also like to remind people posting on social media is not the same as reporting an offence and to always report incidents by calling 101.
