Teenage boy suffers serious head injuries after collision with motorcycle in Heywood

A 16-year old boy was taken to hospital with serious head injuries after a collision with a motorcycle at the junction of Wild Street and Rochdale Road East on Saturday.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “We were called at ten past eight to reports of a collision between a motorcycle and a pedestrian. A 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital.”
North West Ambulance confirmed the boy had collapsed at the scene and underwent welfare checks from staff.
A second patient received facial injuries.
Both were taken to Salford Royal Hospital by road ambulance, although the Air Ambulance was also on scene.
