Teenage cyclist now stable following collision on Langley Lane

The 13-year-old cyclist who was involved in a collision on Langley Lane in Middleton on 3 April is now in a stable condition.

A blue Volvo lorry was driving towards Manchester on Heywood Old Road when it was involved in a collision with a cyclist, at the junction of Langley Lane on Monday 3 April.

The boy was taken to Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital in a critical condition with serious head injuries.

Traffic lights are to be installed at the junction after concerns were raised following the collision.
