Man attacked in Middleton

A 32-year-old man has been taken to hospital with facial injuries after being attacked in Middleton when six men got out of a car, one had a machete.

The man has been taken to hospital with injuries to his face, but they aren’t life-threatening.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “We were called at 3.50pm (on Friday 7 April) to Abbey Road in Middleton.

“No arrests have been made so far.”

“Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting reference number 1429 of 7/4/17 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
