Rochdale Raptors wheelchair basketball club looking for new members

Date published: 06 April 2017

Rochdale Raptors, established in 2016 and the first fully-inclusive wheelchair basketball club in the local area, is looking for new members.

They believe that everyone should be given the chance to participate in sport, learn new skills and have the opportunity to play competitively.

Wheelchair basketball is inclusive of both disabled and able-bodied participants.

Rochdale Raptors is run by a team of volunteers, who have a strong commitment to ensure that everyone is included.

The Raptors welcome people of all abilities to join training sessions at Rochdale Leisure Centre between 8-9pm on Tuesday evenings.

Each member is asked to pay £2 towards the cost of hiring the court and the chairs.

If you have not been before and you would like to see the team in action, you can enjoy your first session for free.
