Brides-to-be Louisa Hayes and Carra Newsham were mainly looking for inspiration for their dresses, suits and flower girl dresses for their marriage ceremony in Sorrento, Italy on 22 August next year, but also considered having the legal ceremony at the Town Hall.

They explained: “We didn’t want a civil partnership, but we have to be legally married here before we go. We’re here to look at dresses and suits mainly; we don’t want anything too heavy going abroad.”

Danielle Vipond, who is getting married on 22 September 2018, booked her car and letter lighting for her big day with the wedding show. She said: “I’ve booked a traditional navy blue car; it was nice to see the cars in person.”

Nicola Kay, who is getting married on 11 August 2018 at Bamford Chapel, also booked her car at the show. She commented: “I’m mainly here for the suits and the dresses. I have an open-mind to what sort of dress I want. I do want a chocolate fountain though.”
