Christopher Raczkiewicz charged after 75-year-old woman left fighting for her life

Christopher Raczkiewicz has been charged after a woman was left fighting for her life in hospital.

Raczkiewicz (13/03/1978), of Ethel Avenue, Blackley has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to provide a specimen for analysis.

He remains in custody and is due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on Monday 3 April 2017.

At around 9.30pm on Friday 31 March 2017, police were alerted to a green Toyota Hilux driving erratically on Victoria Avenue East.

A short time later, the car was involved in a collision with a 75-year-old woman on Manchester New Road, Middleton. The woman was taken to hospital with multiple injuries where she remains in a life-threatening condition.
