Tea, coffee and scrumptious cakes at Thrum Hall Church fundraiser

Date published: 04 March 2017

Visitors to Thrum Hall Methodist Church enjoyed tea, coffee, scrumptious cakes, cracking conversation and a prize tombola on Saturday (4 March).

The 'Raise the Roof' coffee morning was organised by the church Girlguiding members, who are trying to raise £40,000 to repair Thrum Hall's roof.

A spokesperson said: "Thanks to everyone who came along today or donated cakes and prizes.

"We made £114 for Raise the Roof, and £200 for the Rangers Mexico trip.

"We also made a little more on the 'Guess the Date' fundraiser, which is ongoing."
