David Kendall praises Streamline Taxis for returning phone ‘full of memories’

Date published: 04 March 2017

David Kendall has praised Streamline Taxis for returning his phone after he lost it on a night out.

Mr Kendall and his wife, Lisa, from Milnrow, were going out for a meal in Royton and booked a taxi through Streamline.

Unbeknownst to Mr Kendall, the phone in his trouser pocket had slid out in the taxi.

He said: “I didn’t realise straightaway that it had gone, maybe an hour afterwards.

“It wasn’t aboust losing my phone; I was more concerned about the memories on there. We’ve been out a lot with our children, Scarlett and Ethan, for half-term. We’d been to Cadbury World earlier that day and to Scarborough earlier in the week.”

Using the tracking feature on the phone, Mr Kendall and the taxi rank were able to locate his phone successfully.

When they called a taxi to take them home, Streamline sent the same driver, with Mr Kendall’s phone.

Mr Kendall added: “I would have been upset if those memories and photos were gone for good. The fact I’ve got my phone back puts faith back into people and shows that there are good people out there.”

Nabeel Mohammed, of Streamline Taxis, said: “We do aim to try and keep belongings as long as possible to trace the owner.

“It is nice to get good feedback, especially as we are so established in Rochdale.”
