Child taken to hospital with major trauma after being hit by car

A child has been taken to Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital with major trauma after being hit by a car at 3.22pm on Wednesday (1 March).

North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) attended the incident with a Rapid Response Unit and an ambulance.

Greater Manchester Police and NWAS confirmed their attendance.

Traffic from Whitworth Road cannot turn onto Fieldhouse Road as police traffic controls are in place.
