People in Rochdale urged to get walking

People in Rochdale are being encouraged to lace up their walking boots and explore one of the area’s most picturesque locations this weekend.
From Friday 3 to Sunday 5 March, Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) will be holding its first ever Spring Walking Weekend, offering free guided walks in Rochdale and other districts of Greater Manchester.
The weekend will feature 30 fun and friendly guided walks, offering something for every age, interest and ability.
Walkers in Rochdale will be able to tackle the Hollingworth Lake Xplorer walk, a 4km route around the water which offers some of the region’s best vantage points for nature lovers and photographers.
