Elderly woman taken to hospital with spinal injuries after car collides with wall in Littleborough

A woman in her 70s was taken to Royal Oldham hospital with spinal injuries after her car collided with a wall outside Littleborough Fire Station on Whitelees Road at 10.49am on Monday (27 February).

The elderly woman had to be extracted from the car by the Fire Service using hydraulic cutting equipment.

Fire crews from Littleborough and Rochdale attended with a Technical Response and Major Rescue Unit from Ashton.

North West Ambulance and Greater Manchester Police were also in attendance.
