Rochdale Classic Car Show and Family Fun Day

Date published: 27 February 2017

Rochdale Rotary Club is celebrating its 90th year and is organising a new annual fund raising venture - a Classic Car Show and Family Fun Day at Littleborough Sports Club.

Rotarian Mike Tomkinson, a keen Classic Car enthusiast, said: “In Rochdale Rotary Club we have a great team of people who have organised a super day out at a fabulous venue in a charitable cause.

“The Show Ground is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is close to Hollingworth Lake with its visitors centre and other amenities.

“You can park at the showground but there will be a free shuttle bus to the ground from Hollingworth Lake car parks and Visitors Centre.

“All funds will go to this year’s President John Holder’s charities supporting Prostate Cancer Care in the UK and Medic Malawi overseas.”

There will be many classic cars and motorbikes on display and a sales area  for potential buyers.

A vehicle of the day trophy will be voted for by visitors.

Children and family entertainment includes a live music stage, Ian Ball magician, Roch Valley Radio Roadshow and more.

Stalls will sell crafts, gifts and artisan food items. There will be a tombola with prizes and on site catering with cafe and bar.

The main sponsor is Tetrosyl Ltd, the largest European manufacturer and seller of car care products, which recently its headquarters to Rochdale.

The Classic Car Show and Family Fun Day is on Sunday 16 July.
