St Andrew's, Dearnley and Smithy Bridge

We have another big social event coming up at St Andrew's with a visit by 'The Little Jazz Funk Orchestra' who will be presenting a concert in church on Saturday, 4 March.

There will be a pay bar available in the parish room and tickets, priced £8, include supper.

Parishioners are also asked to return old palm crosses to church this Sunday so we can use them to make ash for the Ash Wednesday Eucharist next week (March 1, 7.30pm).

We can also confirm that our relatively short Interregnum is nearly over and that our new priest-in-charge will be the Rev Rachel Battershell, who is currently at a parish in Ashton-under-Lyne.

She will take over in the late spring or early summer, on a date still to be announced.
