Appeal after man hit by tram

Metrolink Services between Rochdale and Manchester were suspended on Sunday morning after a 25-year-old man suffered serious leg injuries when in a collision with a tram.
Emergency services were called to Monsall Metrolink stop at 6.20am after reports of an incident involving a pedestrian and a tram.
The man was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries and police are appealing for information about the incident.
Chief Inspector Gareth Parkin, of GMP's City of Manchester Team, said: "Thanks to the rapid response of the emergency services, the man is receiving treatment in hospital for his injuries.
"If anyone witnessed the collision or has any information about it, please contact police."
