Police seize vehicles

Officers seized a vehicle in a burglary operation on 2 February. Two men were also arrested, charged and remanded for burglary.

Police called to reports of an abandoned vehicle on Swinside Close in Langley, Middleton seized the white Renault van due to it being uninsured with an expired MOT and declared it off-road on Wednesday 1 February.

Police stopped a BMW 3 Series on Manchester Road, Rochdale, due to a light defect on the vehicle on 31 January. Following enquiries, a man was arrested on suspicion of burglary and obstructing an officer in the course of duty. He was later arrested in custody on suspicion of a fraud offence in the York area. He has been bailed pending further enquiries. The vehicle was uninsured and seized under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act.
