Castleton Councillors Billy Sheerin and Aasim Rashid took part in street litter picking

Castleton Councillors Billy Sheerin and Aasim Rashid took part in street litter picking with other community members on Saturday February, at Chadwick lane in Castleton.

Councillor Aasim Rashid said: "We managed to clean the area which was cluttered with empty cans, bottles and paper waste.

"More than two hours were spent cleaning the area.

Councillor Billy Sheerin said: "I urge the community to keep the area clean and tidy."

Councillor Aasim Rashid added: "I hope to keep Castleton more cleaner and greener. We welcome more volunteers to come join us in future cleaning sessions."
