Beech House School

Date published: 06 February 2017

Beech House’s U11 team is improving with every game and tournament.

This was the third time that the team had come together this year and it was clear that progress had been made. Harry Meekings scored three hat tricks in four games, with Rico Bernales scoring the only other team goal against St Jospeh’s B.

Beech House started brightly with a strong performance which brought a three goal lead in no team. This was followed by another great effort but disappointing result as, though Beech House brought it level at 3-3 with seconds to go, Spotland sneaked a goal in the final seconds.

Rico Bernales gave Beech House the lead in the penultimate game against St Joseph’s, but a lapse in concentration from all meant that the game was turned on its head with two goals in the in the final two minutes. Reuben Rasaki and Harun Sharif were very strong at the back throughout, and gave the team an excellent foundation to build on. In the final game, Beech House once again ran away three-nil winners against Newhey, but unfortunately it was not enough to see them progress in the competition.
