Hamer Community Primary School

Our Year 6 children are now hard at work in preparation for the upcoming SATS. Boosters take place from 8:20am on Wednesday and Thursday mornings and after school on a Thursday from 3:20pm – 3.50pm. Parents please make every effort for your child to attend these as they really make a difference. A big thank you to the Year 6 staff for giving up their time to facilitate these.

After half term we will be launching a new and exciting rewards system for our children. Class Dojo will replace the current Smilies rewards that are given out in school. There will be prizes given out for both individuals and classes. More details to follow!

Our Governors have now agreed on the holiday pattern for the next school year. This can be found overleaf of the Friday 3 February newsletter and it will also be published on the school website.

The staff in each class performed a recent school uniform check with the children. It is great to see all of our children looking so smart in their uniforms. If parents are unsure of the exact requirements for uniforms then please see the parent handbook, which is on the school website. You can also check with the class teacher or the school office if you are unsure.

Our Year 5 residential to Kingswood is fast approaching. Please can parents continue to send in any remaining monies owing for their child’s place. Parents will by now have received a kit list of what is required. If parents have any questions in relation to this, then please see Mr Nadin or Miss Khan.
