Rubbish fire on Howard Street

A fire involving rubbish in the stairwell of a block of flats on Howard Street was extinguished by firefighters on Thursday.
Three crews from Rochdale and Heywood attended the fire at 10.59pm.
The Fire Service reminds people to store wheelie bins securely, away from property and take any additional waste to the nearest local authority waste refuse site.
