Yorkshire Street paving well under way

The repaving of lower Yorkshire Street is well under way, with part of the street already completed to match the York stone on The Walk and The Butts.

The work is almost level with The Flower Studio, which remains open for business, with paving complete outside Halifax Bank and from Barclays to the former Lloyds Bank building.

A Rochdale Borough Council spokesman said: “The extent of the works will extend from Lower Yorkshire Street round to Baillie Street and finish behind the Regal Moon.”

“We are hoping to complete works for the spring, weather permitting.”
