Holy Family RC Primary School

Date published: 28 January 2017

On Tuesday our year 5 & 6 football team played against Sacred Heart. They were 2-0 down after 10 minutes. In the second half the boys put in a big performance, showing grit and determination to fight back and earn a 2-2 draw.

Although we got a point the boys felt they did enough to win the game after a superb 2nd half performance. Man Of The Match was Ashton Ruddy.

On Thursday our football team went along to St Mary’s Middleton to take part in a competition. The boys played amazingly well.

18 schools took part and Holy Family won the competition without losing a game or conceding a goal. They showed a great attitude and real team spirit. Mr McKenna could not choose a man of the tournament because the whole team played amazingly. As always we are very proud of their achievements.

After winning the qualifying round, we will be competing in the Athletics final next week. Watch out for the results.
